Easy camera techniques
- use fabric to slide a dolly across the floor
- wax paper for light defuser
- film with the sun out for natural light
- colour correct a dark shot: lift highlights, raise midtones, drop shadows, raise colour saturation
- stabilise shaky footage
- film close to the people to get good audio
- film far away and zoom in to get a blurred background
- add noise filters if the audio has "noise"
- re-record audio if absolutely necessary
- use a whiteboard or something flat and white to reflect white light
PREMIER PRO
Intro
- New project
- Import files by CTRL+N
- Go to Settings in window to adjust frame rate etc
- Add files by dragging into timeline
- On Left hand side there is project window which lists all the files in the project
- to save as a compressed file, select "1/2" or "1/4" in dropdown menu beside total time
- eye = visiable/nonvisable, lock = locked in place/unloacked, M = muted/unmuted one track, S = all others muted/unmuted
- to create a loop effect of audio/video, copy and paste file in the layer
- long menu on left side of timeline has editing tools for files
- Rate Stretch Tool = changed play speed of files, Razor Tool = cuts file up
- to see file in more on timeline, select name of timeline layer thing and drag so it expands
- click on FX button next to file name on timeline to have more options on editing, once applied there will be a yellow FX button. A line will appear along layer to show the strength of the effect
Render
- File > export > media
- preview the file in window to make sure it's correct
- change the file type, name, location
- can choose to export only audio or only video
- select "entire sequence" to export whole video
- can adjust video settings (size etc) in bottom right of menu
- File > Save to save as a pripro
Adding graphics to titles
- New item button > title
- give title a name
- title > logo > insert logo (to insert any kind of image i.e a pre-made title from ID) > double click
- adjust size or placement with selection tool
- click on type tool to insert textboxt
- adjust the fill/texture/stroke in right hand side of window
- to insert or use a texture of own; click on checkered box > C Drive > Program files > Adobe > Premier Pro > Preset, this is where the files should be kept/inserted
- adjust texture by changing blending/opacity etc
